Professional Education


Professional Education (formerly Conferences and Professional Programs), a unit of the Center for Distance and Professional Education (CDPE), promotes lifelong learning by extending the resources of Washington State University through professional education options. With offices in Puyallup and Pullman, Professional Education provides a wide range of noncredit programs and services to meet the needs of clients across the state of Washington and beyond:

  • From content development, to delivery and follow-up, Professional Education staff can help you design effective custom training/learning solutions for your staff, at your company, using your data and processes, and customized to your individual needs. You can meet your goals, conduct a successful program, and let professionals take care of all the details.

  • In addition, experienced Professional Education staff can help you address your conference needs:
    • Help identify and reach your target audience.
    • Work directly with faculty and/or invited speakers to deliver programs.
    • Market your event to reach the largest audience.
    • Manage financial details.
    • Register participants and generate attendance and financial reports
    • Coordinate preparation and delivery of on-site programs.
    • Handle post activity wrap-up and evaluation.
